Shaquan Dupart is a mother of two, registered nurse birth worker, student nurse midwife, and the founder of the Chicago Black Doula Alliance. Shaquan understands the importance of community and works very hard to create meaningful spaces in her personal and professional endeavors. Shaquan life-long desire to be impactful in her community manifested through her research on doulas. Shaquan will be discussing the history of the Chicago Black Doula Alliance, the ways that the organization has supported community members, and the future of the alliance and profession.
