Joey Metler, LCSW (he/him), is the Associate Director of Therapeutic Services at Howard Brown Health in Chicago, IL. He also serves as a Consultant and member of the Sexual and Gender Minority work group for the National Opioid Response Network. As a therapist, Joey is dedicated to anti-oppressive frameworks and empowerment. For the last 10 years, Joey has provided clinical development/supervision for pre-licensed clinicians, facilitated community-based workshops related to OD prevention and harm reduction, created/operated needle exchanges, and guest lectured at local universities on the topics of SUD treatment, harm reduction, chemsex, and clinical approaches with the LGBTQ+ and Trans/Gender Expansive communities.
