She is deeply passionate about Make-A-Wish’s mission to bring hope, joy, and resilience through life-changing wishes. As the Senior Referral Outreach Coordinator, she brings extensive experience in nonprofit management, specializing in project management, data analytics, and bilingual communications. With a strong background in healthcare services, Andrea holds a BA in psychology from Wayne State University, a diploma in medical assisting from Robert Morris University (now Roosevelt University), and she has been a Registered Medical Assistant in Illinois since 2007. Recently certified as a Nonprofit Professional through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, she is committed to mentoring others and building bridges to foster success within her community.
Marimar Gutierrez has been the Community Engagement Manager for Make-A-Wish Illinois. Marimar Gutierrez is focused on developing the Inclusive Engagement Initiative to reach every eligible child, increasing brand awareness, and driving volunteer recruitment in the underserved areas in the city of Chicago. As a Mexican immigrant raised in Chicago’s South Side, Marimar Gutierrez’s parents instilled in her the value of education and a strong work ethic. She is passionate about ensuring equitable access to quality education and proper resource allocation for all. As a member of the Change Collective, she is eager to collaborate with others to enhance synergy among South Side organizations and initiatives.
