Claire Christian, M.S., CCLS, GC-C, is a Certified Child Life Specialist working in a level 4 NICU at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. In 2022, she became certified in grief counseling to supplement her child life practice with critical babies and their families. Her passion for end-of-life care began out of necessity in the high-acuity NICU. As the only child life specialist for 97 beds, Claire navigated the balance between individualized care and efficiency in end-of-life interventions. Over time, this passion transformed into a deep interest in sustainable practices for staff members to promote longevity of careers, healthy boundaries, and fulfillment.
