Sophie Apple
Sophie Apple (she/her/hers) is a Certified Child Life Specialist in the cardiology department at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). She has worked at CHAM since the start of her child life career in 2018. In this role, Sophie supports patients both inpatient and outpatient through stressful hospitalizations, cardiac surgeries, and heart transplantation. Sophie is passionate about legacy building and individualizing the end-of-life experience to each patient and family. Sophie also serves as the research specialist on her team where she focuses on supporting the team in staying up to date on current research in child life and participating in research projects at the institution. Sophie completed both her Bachelor’s Degree in child development and Master’s Degree in child life at Vanderbilt University. She currently enjoys living in New York City.
