Tammy Else

Tammy started her career as an adolescent specialist in a children’s hospital in Chicago. When taking a break from the Child Life role, Tammy was a director of a daycare. She returned to be a CCLS at Lutheran Children’s Hospital for 22-years. Three years ago, she made an adjustment in career by going full-time at Erin’s House for Grieving Children. As lead child grief specialist, continues to do program nights, helping with new programming, school programs and community crisis programs, education, and special events. The great part is this current role is that the skills of a CCLS are transferable and applicable in all these settings and it is great for students to see all the possibilities! Erin's House runs Sibshops programs for the Fort Wayne area. Tammy is involved in many committees Overdose Fatality Review Team, Stop Suicide of Northeast Indiana, Great Kids Make Great Communities, Youth Mental Health Task Force, Great Lakes Association of Child Life Professionals E-Board Community Member At Large, and Association of Child Life Professionals Community Based Practice Committee.
